Synopsis: Present Day - Patty Hearst enters the same San Francisco bank where she had once participated in an armed robbery 30 years ago with the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). A radical paramilitary group she had been brainwashed under after being kidnapped from her home in 1974. Now a successful actress/TV host and heiress to the Hearst fortune, she confronts the craziest 2 years of her life.

1972 - It all started with the brutal murder of a well renowned educator and principal, Dr. Marcus Foster (Danny Glover) by SLA extremists Russ Little (Jeremy London) and Joe Remiro (John Waters). SLA founding members and lovers Donald "Cinque" DeFreeze (Ice Cube) and "Mizmoon" Soltyik (Mary Lynn Rajskub) devised a plan to kidnap the Hearst heiress (Alexis Bledel) for the release of their imprisoned comrades along with an unusual ransom of having Patty's father, Randolph A. Hearst (Robert De Niro) donate millions of dollars worth of food to the poor.

Patty Hearst: "I was taken from my living room, my fiancee Steven Weed (Mars Callahan) was beaten and lying in blood. That was the last time I saw him for two years. After only a few days, I endured sexual abuse, though I don't remember fighting back. I just remember Willie Cujo Wolf (Crispin Glover) petting me to sleep. I forgot who I was. The leader, Cinque and his girlfriend, Mizmoon would preach to me, shouting about the government and how people like my father were responsible for the starving and the homeless in the country. When I heard of my father's unwillingness to pay off the full ransom, and the government for not releasing the two men from prison, I started to believe them and was ultimately under their control. I participated in a number of bank robberies carried out by the SLA. I was fortunate enough to escape and surrender before that awful standoff that left my former captures burned alive. Without the compassion of FBI Agent Clarence Kelley (Liev Schreiber), the support of my mother Catherine (Marcia Cross), I sought out a road to recovery but still found the relationship with my father just too hard to mend so quickly. We were never the same with each other after that. So distant he was and I just didn't know what to say to him. He looked so disappointed in me and would continue so until his death."

Attorney F. Lee Bailey (John C. Reilly) began his illustrious career by representing Patty in court. Unfortunately his inexperience proved crucial and Patty served 22 months in jail. Today, fully pardoned, Patty has become a culture icon, acting in numerous films, developing a sense of humor about her past and forgiving her father. Ironically, a stronger and more dynamic woman, Patty Hearst is one of few who doesn't live in fear but lives the most honest life one could ever imagine.

Her life was raped, her innocence perished, and everything she thought she knew was rendered false. This is the story of Patty Hearst..."Up against the wall, motherfu...!"

What the press would say:

Director, Quentin Tarantino abrings out all the guns with his latest masterpiece, "Sixty Days". Bringing to the big screen the story of Patty Hearst, played by the softly vivacious Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls). Her range of emotions knows no bounds as we see her portray Patty Hearst as the daddy's rich girl, to a frightened turtle, to an unpredictable criminal, and onto a responsible adult. A story that writes itself, almost stranger than fiction, we are introduced to an array of odd characters, all of whom effect Patty Hearst. In true supporting actor roles, Ice Cube (Three Kings) and 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub play the psychotic kidnapping extremists who use her father and the world's problems to lure young Patty into their world. Their crude demeanor and uneasy love for each other, accompanied by a disillusioned ethos mark the most intense moments in the film. When we reach the trial of Patty Hearst, the film reaches a point where any other film would hit the wall and begin to drag on, but we are saved by the performance of John C. Reilly as famed attorney F. Lee Bailey. A brilliant scene stealing performance that carries us into the emotional final act. While Tarantino directs us through and puts us in this dispicable and brutal world, he doesn't forget to leave out the true heart of the picture and that's the relationship of Patty and her father, billionaire Randolph Hearst played by screen legend Robert De Niro. He plays Randolph Hearst with such stubborness and sadness that he breaks our hearts when his unwillingness to forgive the image in his head of his baby girl holding a machine gun. He can barely speak when we see him on his deathbed, trying his hardest not to look his daughter in the eyes. Patty desperately asks, "Why can't you forgive me? I was in hell! What would you have done, poppa?" to which De Niro's Randolph Hearst simply and sternly replies, "Nothing." We take a journey through hell and come out at the end, reborn. The resurrection of Patty Hearst comes with a price, but shows us the meaning of survival, the importance of family and the ability to move on.
